Flash Anodizing

Flash anodizing is a pretreatment process that removes burrs or sharp edges that have built up on metal during its manufacture.  The part is anodized for a very short time and the process can remove very minute imperfections.

In order for the anodizing to produce a clean, uniform finish, the metal itself must be clean, smooth and free of defects.  Any inconsistencies in the metal will have an effect on the overall quality of the anodizing itself.
